Introduction

Paul Trummel uses the pseudonym Nmesis in printed and electronic communications. He openly declares personal or conflicting interests that relate to topics or to opinion especially when the content draws upon advocacy, experience, conclusion, or interpretation.

Nmesis follows international journalism ethics codes before publishing potentially embarrassing information in Contra Cabal. He gives notice to featured individuals that they may respond to charges affecting their reputation or moral character. People named incidentally receive the notice as a courtesy. Nmesis encourages featured individuals to respond within ten days of receiving the notice. He does not solicit personal opinions, therefore, any response should only address material facts.

Stephen (aka Stefan) A. Mitchell, Administrator, Council House, Seattle, has obtained a court order that prohibits Nmesis from contacting residents to obtain those verifications. However, contrary to what Mitchell has announced publicly, nothing in that order prevents residents from sending information or questions to Nmesis at PO Box 1854, Renton, WA 98057-1854. Correspondents will enjoy the anonymity guaranteed by a journalist's constitutional right not to reveal sources if they request it. Nmesis will disregard unsigned communications.

Mitchell and Felippe Jacques (a resident), evidently coerced multiple residents to make sworn declarations [002-06] then to sign them. Nmesis, still legally a resident, pays rent for his apartment at Council House although Mitchell has unlawfully locked him out since 19 April 01. Attorney Robert J. Siegel, has appealed the antiharassment order that Mitchell obtained using perjured resident testimony.

If any resident has had second thoughts about making their declaration under duress then they may confidentially contact Robert J. Siegel, Attorney-at-Law (206 624 9392). By that, they could lessen penalties or try to avoid future legal action against them for perjury. Siegel will listen to explanations about subornation (inducing a person to commit perjury) by Stephen Mitchell and Felippe Jacques that may have some bearing upon personal legal responsibility in the future. Several residents have already spoken with him. Others have sent email messages to <trummel@contracabal.org> and written to Nmesis, PO Box, 1854, Renton, WA 98057-1854, about this issue.

Nmesis, an accredited journalist uses the Washington State Public Disclosure Act (RCW 42.17) and the US Freedom of Information Act (5 USC 552) to verify information obtained from sources. He refuses to reveal his sources by using his constitutional right as a journalist and holds his sources harmless and anonymous. From government sources he also obtains all state and federal documents needed to validate the statistical and supporting data that he publishes.

Both administrators, Mark T. Mullen and Stephen (aka Stefan) A. Mitchell, accepted the responsibilities of registered agent for Council House, but have continued to refuse access to public information. They also refused to provide a copy of the list of directors' names and addresses previously published in the Council House Residents Handbook which they later deleted from it. With their assistants Audrey F. Dunbar and Katrina M. Ramsburg, they have also unlawfully removed printed copies of published information from resident doors and bulletin boards. They have also consistently distributed disinformation and propaganda to residents.

Mitchell has already spent more than $20,000 of Council House money for attorney fees in futile attempts to silence Nmesis and to cover up his unlawful activity. He has tried to deny a constitutional right to publish details about misappropriation and resident abuse by Mullen, Dunbar, Ramsburg, and himself.

Mitchell and Jacques consistently develop new strategies to try to mislead residents and to have Nmesis jailed for contempt of court. They circulate disinformation and post it on bulletin boards to propagandize issues. Residents should consider the source when reading these pamphlets or when listening to Mitchell's oratory. Remember, actors generally only consider the quality of their performance not the truthfulness of what they say.

The redaction (censorship) of names in the Washington State, USA, version of Contra Cabal complies with an order (26 Oct 01) issued by James A. Doerty, Superior Court, State of Washington. That ambiguous and unconstitutional order unlawfully requires Nmesis not to publish names of myriad people whose names he does not know - now or in the future. That order now awaits appellate review. (See [002-04] for legal case details).
